2010 Men's City Amateur

July 9, 2010

It's time once again for the Men's City Amateur and this year's tournament should be exciting. The tournament will be held at Snyder Park on July 10-11 and July 17-18.

A large group of players from the Reid Park Best Ball have entered, and many of them should be very competitive. Tournament favorites include Josh Sine, Joe Turney, and Dan Schuler.

Josh Sine

Josh has been playing very well this year, averaging 69.6 in the best ball, and with his love for Snyder Park, it's not difficult to understand why he is one of the favorites. Josh does everything well and will be difficult to beat.

Joe Turney

Joe Turney has also been playing well this year and will definitely be in the hunt. Joe is a solid player, and a great driver of the golf ball, which will give him a lot of opportunities. He is mentally tough, and plays well in tournaments, so look for him to be near the top.

Dan Schuler

Dan Schuler continues to play well, with a victory in the Ohio Public Golf Association's Mid-Amateur Championship in June. Dan has won the Men's City Amateur eight times so he knows how to win. Look for him to be near the top as well.

Several other players have been playing well which should make for a very competitive and exciting tournament.

Last year's champion Michael Bernard is not in the field because he'll be participating in the U.S. Junior Amateur July 19-24.

Good luck to all!

Play well and have fun!
